What sets our approach apart
Today, companies expect more from CIAM than just a secure login. They need to manage permissions in a nuanced way, reliably verify identities, and maintain control over their data. Our approach is shaped by three key areas of focus.
Fine-grained authorization. What data is a customer allowed to see? What actions is a business partner allowed to perform – and on behalf of which organization? With AuthZEN, Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC), and Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC), cidaas supports Authorization that takes relationships, attributes, and the respective context into account. Permissions can be managed centrally without having to develop and maintain the authorization logic separately in each application.
Integrated identity verification. With the cidaas ID validator, we combine CIAM and digital identity verification. Document validation, liveness detection, and biometric matching complement authentication methods such as passkeys and push authentication. This enables companies to verify their customers’ identities during onboarding and subsequently provide secure, convenient logins.
European Data Sovereignty. cidaas is developed and operated by the Widas Group in Germany. European hosting options, integrated consent management, and features for implementing data subject rights help companies meet their data protection and data control requirements. For us, technological capability and digital sovereignty go hand in hand.
We continue to build
For 2027, we are focusing on expanding our international presence and our network of integration partners, as well as the consistent further development of our AI capabilities. With the AI Assistant cidaas Sherpa, which is already available, we support administrators in their day-to-day work. The authentication of AI agents and the securing of access via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) are also part of our offering today.
